Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to pediatric and adult patients in the operating room
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure all surgical safety protocols are followed
• Operate and manage specialty equipment, including Belmont rapid infusion systems, safely and effectively
• Document patient care and chart in Meditech accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, CSTs, and the multidisciplinary team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Triage and respond to on-call notifications when scheduled as part of the on-call team
• Support unit guidelines and contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety and teamwork

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Colorado (active, unencumbered)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Comfortable functioning across multiple service lines and adapting to varied case types
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred based on unit needs
• CNOR certification is a plus
• Experience with Meditech EMR and familiarity with Belmont rapid infusion devices a strong advantage
• Current immunizations, background check, and ability to meet credentialing requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative nursing principles
• Hands-on experience with OR instrumentation and surgical workflows
• Proficiency using Meditech for documentation and charting
• Experience setting up and managing Belmont rapid infusion systems
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and situational awareness in fast-paced OR settings
• Ability to care for pediatric patients and exposure to CVOR/Cardiac cases is preferred
