Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess students’ speech and language needs using school-appropriate tools and protocols
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals that make a real difference
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Provide progress monitoring, documentation, and clear communication with stakeholders
• Deliver evidence-based interventions across individual and group formats
• Support student success in the classroom through consultation and strategies for educators

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
• Colorado State SLP license required
• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certificate required (candidates with pending CDE may be considered)
• School-based SLP experience preferred; candidates with 5+ years may receive higher pay
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (typical requirement for CCC-SLP)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with school-based evaluation and intervention practices
• Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes
• Skilled in articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic therapy methods
• Comfortable with documentation, progress monitoring, and basic data collection
• Ability to adapt therapy for different age groups and classroom settings
• Team-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills
