Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess students’ speech and language needs using school-appropriate tools and protocols
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals that make a real difference
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Provide progress monitoring, documentation, and clear communication with stakeholders
- Deliver evidence-based interventions across individual and group formats
- Support student success in the classroom through consultation and strategies for educators
Qualifications
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Colorado State SLP license required
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certificate required (candidates with pending CDE may be considered)
- School-based SLP experience preferred; candidates with 5+ years may receive higher pay
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (typical requirement for CCC-SLP)
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with school-based evaluation and intervention practices
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education processes
- Skilled in articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic therapy methods
- Comfortable with documentation, progress monitoring, and basic data collection
- Ability to adapt therapy for different age groups and classroom settings
- Team-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills
