Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately while following all safety protocols
• Verify prescriptions and medication orders to ensure correctness and completeness
• Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to resolve questions and improve outcomes
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking, rotating, and checking expiration dates
• Use pharmacy computer systems to process orders and keep detailed records
• Deliver outstanding customer service and support to the pharmacy team and patients

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration or certification as required by state regulations
• Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or equivalent) is a plus
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is helpful, but not required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work accurately in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and dosage calculations
• Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and order entry workflows
• Knowledge of medication safety practices, including proper storage and handling
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively with nurses, pharmacists, and patients
