Location: Waterville, ME

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans to meet each patient's unique goals
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech and language skills
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, and family members
- Provide education to patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
Qualifications
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Maine
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- BLS certification required
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
- Familiarity with swallowing disorders and treatment techniques
- Experience with electronic documentation systems
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
