Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals using electronic fetal monitoring
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures
• Administer and titrate medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium sulfate
• Collaborate with a compassionate team to ensure safe and positive birth experiences
• Educate families on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Intermittent EFM certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and labor management
• Ability to circulate in the L&D OR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Proficiency with GE EFM and CPN equipment
• Experience with Meditech/Centricity Perinatal EMR
• Skilled in Pitocin and Magnesium drip titration
• Ability to float to antepartum and postpartum units as needed
