Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts, weekend rotation required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $88 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to neonatal patients in the NICU, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring
- Manage and operate respiratory equipment such as ventilators, CPAP, and oxygen delivery systems for critically ill infants
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, and the care team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
- Assist with neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions during high-risk deliveries and codes
- Document patient responses, treatments, and assessments accurately in Epic EMR
- Educate and support families on their newborn's respiratory condition and care plan
- Maintain a safe, sterile environment and ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is functioning properly
Qualifications
- Hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC (CRT not accepted)
- Active Rhode Island RT license or compact-eligible
- Current BLS, NRP, and ALS certifications - all must be active
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent NICU respiratory therapy experience
- Proficiency with Epic EMR for clinical documentation
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekend rotation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of neonatal respiratory care, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-acuity situations, such as neonatal resuscitation
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and explaining care to families
- Attention to detail for accurate patient assessment and documentation
- Proficiency in using respiratory therapy equipment and troubleshooting technology
