Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and needs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to provide coordinated care
• Document patient progress, outcomes, and response to therapy accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
• Adapt treatment approaches to meet diverse patient populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• DCI/BVP certification or documented experience
• Prior travel therapy experience preferred but not required
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation systems
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Adaptability to different clinical environments and patient populations
