Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across a variety of units including cardiac, neuro, oncology, renal, and post-surgical
• Float within Zone 1 across multiple facilities in the Colorado Springs area, adapting quickly to different team environments
• Monitor telemetry and assess patients, titrating heparin as ordered while maintaining safety protocols
• Collaborate with a dedicated care team including charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapists to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Document accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Embrace flexibility by supporting permanent staff and filling scheduling gaps as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (any state accepted - must be willing to obtain Colorado license)
• 2+ years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Prior neuro experience is a plus
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius and work at various facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking in acute care settings
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of heparin titration and cardiac/neuro patient populations
• Ability to adapt quickly to new units, policies, and team dynamics
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort with electronic health records and technology
