Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery and procedures
• Monitor vital signs, airway patency, and level of consciousness to ensure patient stability
• Administer medications and manage pain under the direction of physicians
• Assess patients for signs of complications and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create a seamless and compassionate recovery experience

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required, with Nursys verification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Proven PACU experience is required - we want someone ready to hit the ground running
• Must meet all CNE health and competency requirements, including EKG, pharmacology, and core competencies
• A team player with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of post-anesthesia care unit protocols and recovery best practices
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and vital sign assessment
• Proficient in medication administration and pain management techniques
• Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and patient-education skills
• Compassionate, calm, and composed in high-pressure situations
