Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to mothers and babies throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, intervening promptly when needed
• Assist physicians with C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&C procedures
• Educate and empower new families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with charge nurses, obstetricians, and the healthcare team to ensure safe patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient assessments and care in the EHR system

Qualifications

• Active RN license and at least 1 year of current acute care L&D experience (2+ years preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• EFM-C or AWHONN certification required
• Ability to adapt quickly to a new unit and work as a reliable team player
• Prior Meditech experience and postpartum nursing experience are highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of labor and delivery nursing practices
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, EFM interpretation, and high-acuity obstetric care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and families
• Comfortable with electronic health records and learning new systems
• Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure
