Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and recovery
• Continuously monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, intervening quickly when needed
• Assist during C-sections and collaborate with the surgical team in the OR
• Administer PIT, magnesium sulfate drips, and other critical medications as ordered
• Support ECV and cerclage placement procedures with confidence and precision
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and scrub techs to create a safe, positive birth experience

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN or NCC-EFM certification required
• Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state
• Experience with fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetric care
• Willing to precept and share your knowledge with new team members

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation (EFM, toco, Novii)
• Skilled in PIT administration, magnesium sulfate drips, and C-section support
• Comfortable assisting with ECV and cerclage placements
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff and providers
• Exceptional patient experience and advocacy skills
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is preferred
