Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Dallas, Texas
Start Date: 08-18-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekends and rotating shifts (discussed during interview)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to high-risk obstetrical patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals using GE fetal monitors, and intervene in emergencies
- Circulate during C-sections and assist with D&C procedures
- Recover high-acuity patients and manage conditions such as preeclampsia and magnesium sulfate therapy
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team to ensure safe deliveries
- Educate and support new families through the birthing process and postpartum care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state (NLC) required
- Minimum of 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery bedside experience
- Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
- Experience circulating in C-sections and recovering high-acuity patients
- BLS certification required
- Ability to float to the antepartum unit as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- High-risk obstetric nursing
- Fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
- C-section circulating and surgical assistance
- Postpartum recovery and patient education
- Proficiency with GE fetal monitors and Meditech documentation
- Understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines and patient ratios
