Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, intervening quickly when needed
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections in a state-of-the-art Women's Pavilion
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, midwives, and nurses to ensure the best outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and CPN systems
• Float to other units as needed, embodying Methodist's commitment to serving humanity

Qualifications

• Active TX RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• 2+ years of hospital or specialty experience in Labor and Delivery
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a passion for women's health

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Proficiency with Meditech and CPN documentation systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
