Location: Humansville, Missouri

Start Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, flexible start between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM; no weekends, no on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders to help them thrive.
  • Develop personalized plans of care that meet all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
  • Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions.
  • Track each patient's progress, adjust treatments as needed, and maintain detailed records in our electronic system.
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers to support communication and recovery.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and the health care team to discuss progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
  • Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and accurately document treatment minutes.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings.
  • Support and supervise CFY and student speech-language pathologists.
  • Follow ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics at all times.

Qualifications

  • Active Missouri State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • At least one year of SLP experience (new grads with Level II clinical experience are welcome)
  • Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
  • A submitted reference at the time of application

Knowledge & Skills

  • Patient assessment and treatment planning
  • Strong clinical documentation habits
  • Evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology
  • Experience in long-term care and rehabilitation settings
  • Ability to supervise CFY or student SLPs
  • Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with ASHA and Missouri state regulations
