Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
• Triage and assess patients in active labor, ensuring timely and personalized care
• Assist in C-sections, circulating and supporting the surgical team
• Deliver comprehensive newborn care including assessments, feeding, and education
• Support postpartum couplet care, empowering new families with confidence
• Collaborate with the obstetric team to create a safe and positive birth experience

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (LARA or Nursys)
• 2+ years of OB/GYN experience
• High proficiency in LDRP including labor, triage, delivery, circulating, C-sections, newborn care, and postpartum couplet care
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
• STABLE certification preferred
• Must have reliable transportation and live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Covid vaccine required (exemptions accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of labor and delivery protocols and procedures
• Expertise in fetal monitoring and maternal assessment
• Strong communication and patient education abilities
• Skilled in newborn resuscitation and stabilization
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
