Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders to develop personalized care plans
• Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
• Provide skilled rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises and modalities
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments to achieve the best outcomes
• Counsel patients, families and caregivers to support recovery and independence
• Collaborate with the care team and communicate patient progress effectively
• Create comprehensive discharge plans that ensure continuity of care
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications

• 1+ years of occupational therapy experience (new grads accepted with Level II fieldwork completion)
• Long-term care or rehab experience required
• Active Missouri Occupational Therapy license required
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
• Ability to supervise OTAs, rehab aides and students
