Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour evening/NOC shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-acuity emergency care to a diverse patient population, including cardiac, stroke, trauma, and pediatric patients
- Triage patients efficiently and prioritize care based on acuity in a Level III STEMI and Stroke Receiving center
- Administer common emergency medications and titrate drips such as pressors and sedation while closely monitoring patient response
- Perform and interpret EKGs, manage ventilators, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment as part of a collaborative care team
- Work alongside physicians, mid-levels, PCTs, and respiratory therapists to ensure seamless emergency care
- Float to support other units when needed, stepping in as a helping hand wherever the need arises
- Document accurately in MEDITECH and maintain compliance with required certifications and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license or compact license - ready to submit with a copy of your driver's license for validation
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience; first-time travelers welcome!
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) within three attempts before signing the contract
- No prior direct employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
- BSN not required, but bring your passion for emergency nursing!
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in emergency nursing with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Strong EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition skills
- Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and ventilator management
- Skilled in trauma and stroke care for a Level III center
- Proficient in MEDITECH charting
- Knowledge of common ER drips, including pressors and sedation
- Flexible and adaptable, ready to float and help wherever needed
