Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support safe patient transfers and positioning following facility protocols
Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and patient interactions
Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to support care plans
Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the RN or supervisor

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (state-approved) required
Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and performing physical aspects of patient care
Previous nursing assistant experience in acute or long-term care settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
State-approved CNA training program completion and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient hygiene, toileting assistance, and mobility support
Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and basic observations
Knowledgeable about infection control and safe patient handling
Strong communication and teamwork skills with patients and staff
Organized with attention to detail for accurate charting and handoffs
