Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff during your shift, ensuring high-quality care for every resident
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining accurate documentation
- Administer medications and treatments as needed, following physician orders
- Serve as a clinical resource for team members, answering questions and providing guidance
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to physicians and families
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, safety standards, and facility policies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or a compact state
- Current BLS certification
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing care standards and best practices
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations
