Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe, clean environment
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including adjustments and appliance placements
• Take and develop dental X-rays with care and precision
• Educate patients on orthodontic care, braces hygiene, and post-procedure instructions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic patient records
• Support the dental team with inventory management and supply organization

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
• Radiology certification for taking dental X-rays
• Prior experience in orthodontics is highly valued
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dental practice
• Familiarity with dental software, preferably Denticon

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of orthodontic procedures, terminology, and best practices
• Knowledge of dental radiography and safety protocols
• Proficiency with sterilization and infection control standards
• Experience with electronic dental records (Denticon)
• Excellent interpersonal and patient interaction skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic environment
