Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures to keep things running smoothly
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Take dental X-rays and intraoral photos as directed
- Manage patient records and update treatment plans in Denticon
- Educate patients on braces care, oral hygiene, and post-treatment instructions
- Support the team by rotating between operatories and anticipating needs
Qualifications
- Orthodontic certification is required - you must be ortho certified
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is strongly preferred
- Experience or familiarity with Denticon software is a plus
- Current CPR/BLS certification is nice to have
- A warm, professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic tools, materials, and procedures
- Skill in chairside assisting and infection control protocols
- Comfort with digital x-ray systems and dental charting
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong patient care and customer service skills
