Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and pulmonary function tests
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators for critically ill patients
• Assess patient respiratory status and report changes to the care team
• Educate patients and families on breathing techniques and respiratory health
• Document treatments accurately and maintain patient records

Qualifications

• Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Current BLS certification
• DCI/BVP certification or completed competency
• Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work NOC shifts and varied days
• Must pass required competency exams and health screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Airway management and mechanical ventilation
• Oxygen therapy and aerosolized medication delivery
• Respiratory assessment and monitoring
• Understanding of pulmonary diseases and treatment protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient in electronic health records
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
