Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders
• Operate and maintain ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement care plans
• Perform diagnostic tests and evaluate patient responses to therapy
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Respiratory Therapist license in California
• Current BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Must pass Prime Core Competencies Exam and Skills Checklist
• Must meet all personal health history requirements, including immunizations and TB screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Respiratory therapy assessment and patient evaluation
• Ventilator management and airway support
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency response
• Patient education and clear communication
• Knowledge of medical protocols and safety standards
