Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive wound care assessments and interventions for patients
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
• Educate patients and families on wound management and prevention
• Document all care accurately in the Cerner charting system
• Float to other units as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in wound care
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in wound care assessment and treatment
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, specifically Cerner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Knowledge of infection control protocols
