Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week), includes weekends as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry readings to ensure patient safety
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision and care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered outcomes
Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning
Respond swiftly to emergency situations and changes in patient condition
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (or compact license accepted)
Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Stepdown Unit experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Knowledge of DOU level of care protocols and procedures
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients effectively
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
