Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for surgical patients across a variety of specialties
• Deliver expert nursing care throughout the perioperative process, including GYN, bariatric, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and plastic surgeries
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions, adjusting care plans to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
• Document all nursing care accurately and in compliance with organizational policies and professional standards
• Exercise sound clinical judgment and specialized knowledge to safely coordinate care for patients of all ages
• Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe operating environment and ensure seamless procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent General OR experience
• Hands-on experience with GYN, bariatric, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and plastic surgeries
• Previous travel experience
• Active Maryland RN license (or willingness to obtain)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no declinations accepted)
• No scheduling restrictions; flexible availability to work the facility's schedule
• Willingness to complete mandatory 48-hour compliance if offered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment, care planning, and clinical judgment
• Skilled in nursing implementation, evaluation, and accurate documentation
• Proficient in general OR and a range of surgical specialties
• Adaptable and organized with excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working in fast-paced surgical environments
