Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of MRI procedures with precision and care, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for patients of all ages.
- Independently operate MRI equipment while monitoring patients for safety and comfort throughout each scan.
- Apply comprehensive MRI safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and equipment from potential risks.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to optimize image quality and patient care.
- Verify patient information, explain procedures, and prepare patients for imaging exams with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate patient records and uphold strict quality control standards.
Qualifications
- Formal education from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Previous experience in MRI in a hospital setting
- ARRT Registry certification
- MRI Registry certification
- CPR certification
- Venipuncture certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months
- At least 2 recent supervisory references
Education
- Formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of MRI safety standards and protocols
- Proficiency in operating MRI scanners and related radiologic technology
- Strong independent judgment and initiative in a fast-paced radiology department
- Excellent patient communication and care skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise imaging protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
