Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments for stepdown patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and neurologic status closely
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to adapt care plans
• Educate patients and families about neurological conditions and recovery
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state)
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Previous stepdown, ICU, or neuro nursing experience preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in critical situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong neurological assessment skills
• Comfortable with cardiac monitoring and telemetry
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach
