Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patients' conditions and promptly respond to changes
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and recovery plans
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana RN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred, but new grads welcome to apply
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles
• Skilled in patient assessment and care planning
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Effective team collaboration and patient education skills
