Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to laboring patients with 1:1 ratios during active labor
• Monitor and titrate critical drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
• Support mothers through antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Care for patients with pregnancy-related conditions including hypertension and diabetes
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure exceptional birth experiences
• Maintain the unit's high standards as a Blue Distinction+ facility

Qualifications

• Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with titration of drips including Pitocin and Magnesium
• Valid driver's license required at time of application
• Must live outside the 50-mile radius from Grand Island, Nebraska
• Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of labor and delivery protocols and AWHONN guidelines
• Proficiency in monitoring and managing high-risk obstetric patients
• Ability to provide care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
• Experience with GYN post-surgical patients
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Commitment to maintaining professional standards including natural nail policy
