Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, ensuring safety at every stage
Assist with pain management options and support natural birth preferences
Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the care team for optimal outcomes
Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
Respond quickly to emergencies and high-risk situations

Qualifications

Active RN license in Louisiana
Current BLS certification
NRP certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent L&D experience
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Fetal monitoring interpretation
Phlebotomy and IV insertion
Patient education and family support
Electronic medical records proficiency
Team collaboration and communication
