Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, no call, no holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
  • Position patients and operate imaging equipment to target treatment areas precisely
  • Monitor patients during treatment and provide reassurance and support
  • Document treatment sessions and maintain detailed patient records
  • Collaborate with the radiation oncology team to adjust plans and ensure quality care
  • Follow strict safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure

Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • Active Idaho radiation therapy license or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Successful completion of a radiation therapy program and certification by ARRT (or eligible)
  • Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and required health screenings
  • Positive, compassionate attitude with a commitment to excellent patient care

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in operating radiation therapy equipment such as linear accelerators
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
  • Skilled in patient positioning, immobilization, and simulation procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and the care team
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment
