Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to critically ill patients in our ICU
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and telemetry to quickly respond to changes
• Administer medications and IV therapies with precision and confidence
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate and support patients and their families during challenging times
• Maintain a calm, organized presence in fast-paced critical situations

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications
• ICU experience preferred, but new grads with a passion for critical care are welcome to apply
• Comfort working nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to complete required health screenings and vaccinations

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical thinking and quick decision-making
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and ventilator management
• Skilled in IV insertion, wound care, and medication titration
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to stay composed under pressure
