Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly report any changes to the care team
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision and compassion
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create effective care plans
• Educate patients and their families on condition management, medications, and discharge planning
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or a valid compact license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous experience in med-surg/telemetry nursing strongly preferred
• Ability to work 36 hours per week including every other weekend
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and patient assessment
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
