End Date: 07-06-2027

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, 12-hour shifts

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Emergency Department
Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition and diagnostic results
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
Maintain knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting requirements for child/adult abuse
Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

Current and valid California RN License
Minimum one year of experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER experience preferred
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or Red Cross)
Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate
NIHSS certification
COVID-19 vaccination preferred
Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies Exam, Skills Checklist, and Specialty Exam

Knowledge & Skills

Expert in emergency nursing and triage
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in using electronic health records
Knowledgeable in EMTALA regulations
