Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible 12-hour shifts, days and nights available, as needed per diem

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ED setting
Administer medications, IV therapy, and life-saving interventions
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal outcomes
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with protocols
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of recent emergency department experience
Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency nursing procedures and protocols
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, IV insertion, and medication administration
Knowledge of EHR systems and documentation standards
Excellent interpersonal and patient advocacy skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
