Location: Pontiac, Michigan

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Evenings, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, 5x8-hour shifts (40-hour guarantee)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 - $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Sterilize and prepare surgical instruments and equipment
Assemble and organize instrument trays for surgeries
Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality
Operate sterilization equipment following safety protocols
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes
Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure instrument availability

Qualifications

Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (HSPA or similar)
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control
Ability to handle delicate instruments
Understanding of medical terminology related to surgical instruments
Familiarity with automated sterilization equipment
