Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to restore function and mobility.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and occupational/speech therapists.
• Document patient progress accurately in Cerner EMR according to hospital standards.
• Participate in early mobility programs for critically ill and ventilated patients.

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification from AHA
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Experience with Cerner EMR is strongly preferred
• Ability to float between inpatient and outpatient settings as needed
• Traveler-friendly and adaptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, and medical rehabilitation
• Skill in developing and adjusting treatment plans for diverse populations
• Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
