Hospice Registered Nurse - Case Management
Location: Walla Walla, Washington
Start Date: 09-01-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday; alternative Sunday-Thursday schedule with 32 hours guaranteed. Possible weekends and on-call.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage a case load of 15 patients and coordinate their hospice care journey
- Perform 4-5 visits per day, adjusting based on patient needs and acuity
- Provide routine, GIP, continuous care, and respite nursing services
- Complete admissions, SIA visits, and death visits with compassion and professionalism
- Document all charting the same day to ensure seamless care coordination
- Travel within a 60-mile service radius to bring care directly to patients
Qualifications
- 1+ years of current hospice case management experience
- Active Washington or Compact RN license
- Active American Health Association (AHA) BLS certification
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Acute or Med-Surg experience is highly preferred
- Oregon RN license encouraged (application required upon accepting contract)
- Clean background check and drug screening
- Up-to-date Influenza, TB, and Covid vaccination records
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in hospice case management and nursing assessments
- Confident with admission, SIA, and death visits
- Knowledge of routine, GIP, continuous care, and respite care
- Strong documentation and same-day charting abilities
- Comfortable working with a case load of 15 patients
- Ability to build rapport with patients and families during sensitive times
