Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate occupational therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing facility
- Implement individualized treatment plans that empower patients to regain independence
- Collaborate with a supportive therapy team and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with facility policies
- Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques for continued success
Qualifications
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in New Mexico
- 1-3 years of experience as a COTA, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
- Ability to meet productivity requirements of 92% while delivering exceptional care
- Must be present in the building to receive guaranteed hours
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in occupational therapy interventions and rehabilitation techniques
- Strong patient assessment and documentation abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of skilled nursing facility regulations and productivity standards
