Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical therapy needs and develop personalized treatment plans to restore function and reduce pain
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and balance
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment goals as needed, and maintain accurate documentation
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that empowers individuals on their road to recovery

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Mexico or willingness to obtain one
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program
• Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Previous experience in outpatient or acute care physical therapy is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and time management skills
• Must have a current NM caregivers account or be able to create one (facility requirement)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of physical therapy assessment tools and therapeutic interventions
• Skill in developing and implementing individualized exercise programs
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Ability to operate physical therapy equipment and modalities safely
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and team members
• Understanding of patient safety standards and infection control protocols
