Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, occasional weekend shifts required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care across acute care units including MedSurg, ICU, Telemetry, Oncology, and Cardiology
Deliver hands-on therapy to ventilated patients and support complex post-surgical recovery
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized treatment plans
Help patients regain mobility and independence after cardiac surgeries and total joint replacements
Document progress using Cerner EMR and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in California
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in ortho, total joints, ICU, and ventilated patient care
Comfortable working with diverse patient populations including MedSurg, Oncology, and Cardiology

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy expertise
Experience with Cerner EMR documentation
Ability to manage complex cases across multiple hospital units
Strong clinical judgment for ICU and ventilated patients
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
