Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded medications in the IV room using strict aseptic technique
• Verify and compound intravenous admixtures accurately to ensure patient safety
• Maintain a clean and compliant sterile compounding environment according to USP standards
• Review medication orders and prepare appropriate dosages in collaboration with pharmacists
• Document compounding activities and maintain accurate inventory of sterile supplies
• Support the pharmacy team in a fast-paced hospital setting with high attention to detail

Qualifications

• Must have IV room certification and demonstrated experience in sterile compounding
• Must have hospital pharmacy experience with at least 1 year of experience
• Strong aseptic technique and the ability to work confidently in a sterile environment
• Sterile compounding certification is preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and a 7-on/7-off schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterile compounding procedures and IV room protocols
• Understanding of aseptic technique best practices
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy workflows and medication ordering systems
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically Meditech
• Attention to detail and strong documentation habits
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative pharmacy team
