Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Provide education to children and parents on oral hygiene
• Maintain a clean and welcoming patient environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current Dental Assistant certification or licensure as required by Wisconsin state
• BLS/CPR certification
• X-ray certification
• Experience working with children preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Skill in taking dental radiographs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to calm and reassure pediatric patients
• Attention to detail and infection control practices
