Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Educate patients on oral health best practices and preventive care
• Take and analyze dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in a dental office preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Knowledge of dental X-ray techniques and radiation safety
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
• Skilled in patient charting and dental software
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
