Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients
• Perform thorough cleanings and periodontal therapies
• Educate patients on oral health and preventive care
• Take and interpret dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Assist the dentist during procedures and treatments
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact license)
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Previous experience in a dental setting is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Ability to interpret dental radiographs accurately
• Strong knowledge of periodontal disease and treatment
• Experience with dental practice management software
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach
