Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatories
• Take and pour dental impressions, and fabricate custom trays
• Acquire and review dental radiographs as directed
• Document patient care accurately in Denticon software
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and aftercare instructions

Qualifications

• Must hold an active orthodontic assistant certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience as a dental assistant in an orthodontic setting
• Proficiency with Denticon or similar dental practice management software
• Excellent patient communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Skill in taking impressions, photos, and radiographs
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Team player with a positive attitude
