Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans with and without contrast on a variety of patients
• Start IVs and administer contrast media safely
• Operate GE scanners (16-slice and 64-slice) in ER and inpatient settings
• Collaborate with radiologists and emergency physicians to ensure accurate imaging
• Maintain radiation safety and dosimetry protocols
• Document patient information and scanning procedures in Meditech and Fuji PACS
• Precept new technologists as needed by the unit

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (CT) registration
• Active Texas MRT license
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience, including ER and inpatient
• Proficient in IV insertion
• Experience with Meditech EMR and Fuji PACS
• Willing to float between Bryan and College Station campuses
• Ability to take call and respond within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of CT protocols for studies with and without contrast
• Skilled in operating GE scanners, including 16-slice and 64-slice models
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Understanding of radiation safety and dosimetry badge use
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Familiarity with emergency and inpatient imaging workflows
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR and Fuji PACS
