Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding preventive dental care, including thorough cleanings and examinations
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and take detailed health histories
• Capture high-quality dental x-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Provide personalized oral hygiene education to help patients maintain healthy smiles
• Partner with dentists and the care team to create a seamless patient experience
• Champion infection control and maintain a spotless, safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license or eligibility for licensure
• Current CPR certification
• Prior dental hygiene experience in a clinical setting (0-2 years acceptable)
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for patient care and education

Education

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene (preferred, not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of periodontal disease and preventive techniques
• Proficient in digital radiography and dental software
• Excellent pain management and patient comfort strategies
• Knowledge of Virginia state dental practice laws
• Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
