Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, keeping everything pristine and ready for action
• Take and develop dental x-rays, capturing those perfect smiles
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care with a friendly smile
• Maintain accurate patient records and schedule follow-up appointments
• Provide exceptional patient care, making every visit a positive one

Qualifications

• Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA or equivalent) is preferred
• Active Maryland Dental Radiographer license or ability to obtain
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-focused demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while keeping a smile

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software (Denticon preferred)
• Skilled in taking impressions and digital scans
• Understanding of infection control standards
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
